Kate Middleton, married to Prince William for 13 years, recently underwent stomach surgery at The London Clinic. The specifics of the surgery have not been disclosed, consistent with the royal family’s practice of keeping personal health matters private. This contrasts with King Charles III’s openness about his health issues, including his prostate surgery and subsequent cancer diagnosis.

“I’ve seen her less than ever,” Prince William shared, expressing how his wife’s health has impacted both his personal and professional life. “I hope we can catch up, though, and I’ll make my list tonight.”

The privacy surrounding Kate Middleton’s health has sparked speculation and questions, especially since the royal family typically does not discuss such matters openly. Although it has been confirmed that her condition is not cancer-related, many people speculate that she may have Crohn’s disease or underwent a hysterectomy.

Catherine, Princess of Wales (born Catherine Elizabeth Middleton on January 9, 1982), is a member of the British royal family and married to William, Prince of Wales, the future king of Britain. Born in Reading and raised in Bucklebury, Berkshire, she attended St. Andrew’s School and Marlborough College before studying art history at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, where she met Prince William in 2001. Before their engagement in November 2010, she held various retail and marketing jobs and participated in volunteer work. They were married at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011, and have three children together.

George, Charlotte, and Louis. Catherine is a patron of over 20 charitable and military organizations, including the Anna Freud Centre, Action for Children, SportsAid, and the National Portrait Gallery. As a charity worker, she focuses on early childhood care, addiction, and art through projects associated with the Royal Foundation. To encourage discussions around mental health, she initiated the Heads Together campaign, which she launched in April 2016 alongside her husband William and brother-in-law Harry.

The media has dubbed her influence on fashion the “Kate Middleton effect,” highlighting her impact in both the UK and the US. She was named one of Time’s most influential people in the world in 2011, 2012, and 2013, and again in 2018. Catherine became Princess of Wales on September 9, 2022, when her husband was made Prince of Wales by King Charles III.
